No 3rd Row Seat with M Sports Package for MY18
I am coming out of a 2014 X5 with 3rd Row Seats and M Sports Package and looking to get into MY2018 X5 with the same option. According to the 2018 guide, the (ZMP) M Sports Package, option (2VF)Adaptive M Suspension, (4UB)3rd Row Seats cannot be ordered with this package. Has anyone here been able to order an X5 with 3rd row seats AND M Sports Package?

Ugh, if this is the case another blow for those who were willing to stay with X5 even though it will be old next year around this time.

Did you lease it or did you finance it? I don't know why BMW is not updating the website. Still showing 2017.

Yes it is possible to have M-Sport with a 3rd row but you can not order a M-Sport 3rd row with DHP. Suspension upgrades make a huge difference with the way the F15 drives.

So do you think it's worth going for DHP or for M Sports Package. I just don't understand why those packages can't be combined and I am not a fan of the different bumper colors. I would easily forego the M Sports Package if I can retrofit the body kit.

I searched high and low for an explanation and was never able to find one. You can get M-Sport and 3rd row with Adaptive-M suspension which is essentially half of DHP. You forgo the active anti-roll bars and torque vectoring rear diff. If you can't get past the appearance of a non-M-sport F15 than I feel it is a compromise worth taking.

I amazes me how people respond to your thread without reading and provide garbage knowledge.
(ZMP) M Sports Package, option (2VF)Adaptive M Suspension, (4UB)3rd Row Seats cannot be ordered together. ZMP M sport package and 2VF Adaptive M Suspension are not the same thing. I think there's some confusion for other readers. Truth be told the M Sport package is mostly appearance options. Sorry to break it to you guys. The M adaptive suspension is the real performance difference. When you get the 3rd row seat option (4UB) it adds the rear load leveling suspension which cannot be removed. So that is why the combination is not possible. Note: I went through this when getting my X5 and went for the 3rd row seat instead. looking back I could do without the 3rd row seat. The 3rd row would only be acceptable for children under the age of probably 8

Sorry to turn this into a pissing match but here is the proof. And you can reference the ordering guide to see that this is a valid configuration. What is not possible with M-Sport and 3rd row is full DHP. 2VF and 4UB both include rear air suspension and you don't get a credit for the cost of the air suspension when including both. You do get a $500 credit when you order DHP and 3rd row but you can't do that with M-Sport. See the attached screen shots for clarity. You will see that DHP when included with the 3rd row is only 4000 and without 3rd Row it is $4500. DHP with M-sport is 3600 for 2VP and 900 for 2VF. You can not add the third row once you add DHP on a build with the M-Sport package. |

Can you try on the x50i and post it with instructions? When adding dynamic handling removes 3rd row for me still.

Are you building your x50i with M-Sport or without?

With M Sport.
I can not produce the same results as you getting all 3 options on the car. Everytime I click 3rd row there's an onscreen popup saying it has to change the suspension. Let me know if you get further

Let me make this very clear. YOU CAN NOT ORDER M-SPORT, DHP and 3rd row. The only suspension upgrade you can add to M-SPORT and 3rd row is Adaptive M suspension which is half of DHP. I gave up M-SPORT to get 3rd and DHP with no regret. It does not matter if it's 35i, 35d or 50i. Same applies to all.

Good luck finding anything with any kind of adaptive anything off the lot. If you are ordering, go crazy, but it's funny how it's almost impossible to find a dealer stocking (or have anything left over) with DHP or Adaptive Suspension.

BMW of Mt. Laurel consistently stocks F15s with DHP. They have one now. I drove down their to test drive it before ordering mine.

I'll call them up tomorrow. Although it's a rare combination to have 3rd row and the half-dhp, if that's even worth getting.

Current F15 (delivered Jan this year) is M-Sport/DHP but no 7 seats - and the same restriction still applied at the time of order. In all fairness, the 3rd row seat in a X5 is more of a compromise, than actually the value it adds. Seats _CANNOT_ be retracted electrically - something I can do on all other vehicles with 7 seats. The space was smallish and the trunk got even smaller. No chance for a spare tyre as well.
