Found a Unicorn!

I bought my 2015 F15 a few months ago and have kept my searches running just to see what I could've missed out on. Well, I came across this purple squirrel this morning:

2016 X5 50i M Sport w/ DHP, NV, Led, B&O, etc. Has everything except for ACC Stop & Go -which in my opinion is not executed well anyways and I would trade in a heartbeat for DHP! 1 owner, no accidents - Priced well at $38K. I haven't come across one of these babies loaded under 40K since I bought mine in September!

http://www.pricewiseautosale.com/det...-18138442.html

I have no affiliation with this dealer, just sharing my findings.

I'd run a carfax just to double check the history before getting too excited; autocheck is often omitting info - out family gti was wrecked twice, both accidents are in carfax but autocheck is clean.

I'd avoid a fleet vehicle, if possible.

That price hurts a little. I paid almost double that 2 years ago for my CPO "Unicorn" (Fully loaded except 3rd row and headrest TV's). Thats a lot of depreciation. Worth it though for driving such an awesome car!

Yes - Carfax always. I can't trust AutoCheck due to a situation first hand when I was selling my Mercedes privately.. but that's another story.

I would definitely would pull all maintenance records prior to going to look. That's what I asked my local dealership to do before looking at my F15. They sent me the report that they provide the customer (info included all the past owner's personal info.. ) as well as their internal service reports. Very interesting how they document everything. However, there are some SA's who won't send it, you have to find the weak ones and schmooze them!

It may be a fleet vehicle. I've also found that AutoCheck can report as a fleet vehicle when they've been sold at auction. Hell, it could be an off-lease with all scheduled maintenance!

For $38K a 50i with DHP Msport?? As long as oil changes and all maintenance has been done, who cares.. this is a great buy.

I agree. Also, miles seem a bit on the high side. Could be attributed to a lot of highway driving, or perhaps not.

Right, that's the button that I've pushed only one time ever - to turn it off and never use. Doesn't every X5 model come with it? It doesn't have anything to do with the Active Cruise Control

Sorry I misunderstood your original comment. I thought you meant auto start/stop feature.

Good luck finding a 3 y.o. non-leased BMW for sale.

Not so sure about that

Each car I looked at that was a lease indicated "personal lease"
