Buying Advice
Hi so I’m new to the forum and not sure if I’m asking in the right place but looking to ask if the engine sounds right in this x5 I’m considering. It’s a 2015 with 117,000 miles. You can hear a clicking/ticking sound when it’s idling, from what I’ve gathered it could just be the injectors in the n55. It drives fine and everything. How reliable are these? Are these miles high? How can I add a vid to this post to show how it sounds? Thanks

It's high mileage but if it drives well and looks well, then you could get it inspected by a mechanic that you trust before making a decision. These vehicles are expensive to maintain outside the warranty period and you don't want to regret buying it. Make sure that you also have a reputable indy mechanic in the area if you decide to buy.

def high mileage. I got my 2014 with 54k miles on it.
unless it has all the options you want, look around, you can find some with lower mileage, they will most likely cost more too, so it depends on what options you want, and your budget. |
