Afermarket Headlights

I saw these on a well-known website... I thought they looked pretty cool and was wondering if anyone's tried these yet?

I have no plans for these headlights at the moment, stock look cool enough and work just fine. But if they go out while I own it, it might be an option.

they are all over aliexpress, I worry about the quality of the internal parts, construction and just overall quality. The design looks okay, but I do want to see more videos/pics of them before spending $ on a set of chinese headlights

You find lots of "low priced" crap on Aliex... and similar websites, and if you pay sh..t.. you get shi..

So do not spoil your X5 and buying headlights (lots of complaints I.e. less light output...) or rim (which do not meet safety standards) ....on these websites.

I’ll pass. I prefer the iconic BMW angel eyes & corona rings over the latest “hockey sticks” design. The original BMW AEs and the later 3D LED corona rings that appeared on the F chassis models stood out and were easily identifiable as a BMW when you see them day or night. These new hockey stick look like everyone else’s and I don’t care for the turn indicator taking over one of the illuminated DRL sticks or headlights. I prefer the turn indicator being a dedicated light within the overall design…like below the headlights or incorporated into an eyebrow above the headlights and DRLs.

The current BMW design language does absolutely nothing for me. I've been daily driving some sort of BMW for the last 20 years, and once I sell my X5, there won't be one in my garage.

I''m right there with you...although I've been here before.

When the first "new gen" BMWs started rolling out (this was after the e46/e39/e38/e53 era)...the new 3/5/6/7 series didn't light any fires for me and I thought I was done. But I did love my e38/e39/e53s...and held onto them.

Then the F-chassis started rolling out and the 3/4/6/X5 series returned the spark (for me). And again, I'm all in with my f06 650ix GC & f15 X5...hopefully I can keep them running until BMW rolls out something I like...if not, I will have to move on.

If I like the car...I have no problem holding on to it...I'm not tempted by the "latest is the greatest" mantra. I held on to my 1st BMW (a 1985 e30 325e) for 15 years. And I kept my 1997 e38 740iL til' 2018. As long as they still give me joy...they can stay in my garage.

My feelings about the latest BMW designs...can be compared to what I've done with the last year or so of Roundel magazines. Most of them have never been opened because the cover shots don't even inspire me to rip the plastic off.
