def usage increased

2014 with N57

Typically I could go 12-15k without adding def. I usually would top it off at oil changes though.

Recently I have seen a significant increase in def.

Like I’m burning thru a gallon every 1000 miles, and almost having to do a full reload ( 2x 2.5 gallons of def every 5k miles.) No warning lights or codes with insta.

Is this signs that that NOx sensors are gone or about to go?

I just want to prepare because I know you get the 1000 mile count down once the NOx sensors error shows up. I’m above 120k by a bit so the extended warranty doesn’t help, sucks those sensors are $600-800 each!
