Front plate mounting bracket

Hi there. I recently purchased a used 2017 X5 M sport. The front bumper already has 2 holes drilled for the plate bracket, 10.5 inches apart. From my searching online,I can't find anything that fits that description. Does anyone know if the original bracket had it's mounting holes spaced that way?

Maybe the previous owner had a "EURO" plate on the front bumper?

Isn't a regular US-plate longer than 10.5 inches? If so, just drill two additional holes for the OEM mountain bracket and check it off your to-do list.
