Would you trade in a 2015 X6 (F16) for a new 2024 M440i?

I was wondering if anyone out there, if in the same situation, would trade in their 2015 X6 with Sport package and almost every option for a loaded 2024 M440i? Is there any perceived pecking order between models, or is that something my head just made up to cause me anguish and sleepless nights?
I am in my 60s, and thinking about retirement, and predict I would purchase one more vehicle between now and then, but don't want to be paying a car loan when I do retire. So it's kind of a now or maybe never thing. Thanks in advance!

Well you are choosing between nice suite and tuxedo here. Each one is good for particular occasion. If you don't have a family to haul around, you drive alone 95% of your time, and you don't go shopping to Costco every weekend to restock pantry, if the biggest thing you put in your trunk is your golf bag 4-series coupe would be perfect for you.

Well you’re basically choosing between 2 Really good Vehicles and each has they’re Pros and Cons. I’d say: Look at the M440i and spec one out and see if you like it. And if you really are looking to get rid of the F15 for a Sports Car in my opinion, It’s worth it. But it all depends on your needs and such and if you like it.

2 good points brought up: I am by myself driving 95%, and only make a diy home center trip 2X a month instead of every weekend. That definitely helps!

I mean, a Sports Car is designed to be Driven, not a Garage Queen like a Ferrari lol. But I mean if you don’t need the X5 for it’s needs and can live with a M440i I say do it. I’ve been in the M440i and I looked at the Trunk and rear seats area and honestly by the looks of it you could fit quite a bit.

If you can look at it without triggering your gag reflex, maybe.

There's really nothing to ask until you drive the vehicle in question

Yeah that’s true, I suggest go and Test Drive a M440i and get a feel for how it is, If I’m correct I believe all M440i’s are the same motor and everything I think for the 2024 they changed the Technology and a bit of the looks.

I personally wouldn't. I don't think it's BMW's finest design and if you're going to do it, get a proper M4.

Yeah the M440i has the B58 like every other BMW Literally.. The B58 in my 740i honestly is insane for “only” 320 HP it moves I’ve won against 5.0 Mustangs and stuff like that in a big ass 4,000+ Pound 7 Series it’s incredible. But yeah being a B58 you pay B58 money, it’s more expensive to a N55 motor.

That motor is so capable w/ basic bolt-ons and tune. There's a reason the new toyota supra chose that motor. It was controversial at first, but has earned the respect of most in drag or roll racing.

Yeah, and people are like “New Supra ain’t a Supra cause no 2JZ” it’s still a Supra with a better motor be happy we get a new Supra instead of none.

My suggestion would be to split the difference and go for the M440i Gran Coupe if you wanted a better balance of sportiness to practicality. With the liftback, you can at least fold the seats down and have decent ability to haul some things.

Yes that’s true, If you want the best of both Worlds get a Gran Coupe Version it’s still Fast and pretty Practical.
