Creaking noise

Hello Peeps,

I had this creaking noise coming from my passenger front end. I went to my local dealership and the diagnostic was that I needed both front control arms. The quote mentioned something about 5 and 2 and thrust arm bushings. I never heard of this in my limited experience. I know the dealership can be a bit expensive but the price ($2800) was a bit astronomical in my opinion. I knew the profit margin on this job was high because the guy helping me offered a 15% discount immediately. Is this something that can be a DYI project? I swapped the H frame bushings on my daughters 2002 Ford Taurus so I have a little experience with a jack and tools. How long would a job like this take? Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

There's a TSB on this. I had mine replaced under warranty. How many miles on your car?

If it creaks you can probably ignore it for a while, as long as you can tolerate the noise. There are diy on here if you look.

Yes I made the DIY. Cost should be around $350 a side. Should do both sides. And then an alignment.
