WTF, the big mouth openings below the front bumper are filled in with large black plastic panels with fake grill patterns? Why not put the foglights there?

After seeing these pics I have a hankering for some Ben and Jerrys tho'

Too funny. It's the same reaction cycle as always. First 24 hrs after the first pics its always bitching and moaning and BMW is the antichrist and has ruined their entire brand.

Then after a week it's beautiful. :

This thing does look great tho!

While I like the overall look of the M-Sport kit, I'm not liking the fake air inserts where the fog lights would usually go, why couldn't they actually make those active? Still like the design and would have no problem with getting one but I'm sure the LCI is going to be the one to get for most prospective buyers like the E70 LCI.

Sorry guys, and Jason, I went back with my SLR on the oft chance it was there again but no luck. Im not on the X5 boards much so didnt know it hadnt been seen in person yet. I regret not taking more pics, especially side by side with my car to show how small it looked. Im glad I got a few though.

Wow. Not feeling it at all. Looks just like the new X3. Not a good thing in my book. The wife has a 2013 X3. God awful ugly next to my 4.8i E70. IMO the E70 will be the best looking X5s. A shame. I'm sure it'll rock to drive. I just find it ugly.

Can't believe you think it looks small. I realize it's the same size, but to me the styling is much more butch and square, lending an overall larger look.

now that's more like it !! It looks awesome IMHO! One thing that bothers me is that rectangular emptiness from the rear under the trunk... just looks weird

cant say i like it at all. the openings on the front do not flow at all. fogs are in the wrong spot and the rear trunk lights are huge and remind me of an audi meets a kia..

hmm... http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...BCsseldorf.jpg

I think it looks great. Even the back doesn't annoy me as much. Unfortunately bmw sedans always look so much better from the back than the SUVs.

I actually took those pics - so I saw it in person. I'm not saying it looks bad, it just looks smaller than Id expect for an X5, especially when you consider how much the other BMWs hav grown. Maybe BMW is working on an X7, or is that already announced?

Not officially announced, but X7 is reportedly in the works.
