F15 X5 Pickup Checklist

It might be helpful to have a checklist that new owners can use when picking up their new X5s. Here's what I've got so far:

1. Door seals
2. Topview camera
3. Instrument cluster

Remember that SatNav or SatRaido will not work inside...there is a little chance it might, but not a very good one.

In that case I would remind him to go fill it up, so you feel comfortable giving good survey marks.

I always ask for the screen protector to be left on the nav screen, and I remove it later. Can't tell you how many cars I've seen on the lot with fingerprints/scratches on the screen.

Nice thread. Someone put together all the items. Before pick-up, email the list to your CA and tell him you'll be checking off every item. This will save you time and help avoid any inconsistencies :-)

14. If applicable, open third row seats and inspect for smooth operation and leather defects. Make sure you get the third row floor mat (should be in a bag in the trunk)

I made a dealer delivery checklist for myself and thought it might be useful for others as well. It's really tailored to me, but since it's a Word file, anyone can add or delete items. Hope it helps!

Well done. It's a shame so many things that should be part of the factory's basic quality check need to be on your list, but real world experience of those who have taken delivery so far unfortunately indicates that neither the factory nor the dealers are taking proper responsibility for quality control and thus it is incumbent on the purchaser to look out for his/her own interests.
