All Weather Floor Mats?

Anyone have all weather floor mats? If so, are you using WeatherTech or OEM? How well does it fit? Also have a trunk liner?

Thanks in advance.

^ For the 2014 the " all weather" F/Mats are different than the traditional Weather Tech F/ Mats, as the outer lip is not as deep. The new ones do appear thicker, however they are priced cheaper than W/Tech.

I'm interested in knowing which is better as well! Was going to get the weather tech before I saw the BMWs.

I like the WeatherTech's rear floor mats, in that the center "hump" is covered. But, ultimately, I'm interested in how well the floor mats and rear cargo mats fit.

For E70 this is the All Weather Floor Mat with BMW logo. I think it is made by Weather Tech. So there are essentially the same.
http://www.shopbmwusa.com/PRODUCT/37...cessories.aspx

For the F15, there is a new All Weather Floor Mat, shorter lip. Hopefully the E70 style f/mat will be available from BMW otherwise get the Weather Tech. I am thinking in terms the f/mats to be included upon delivery ( hopefully the longer lip is available soon).

Agreed OEM or Weather Tech which are custom fit are the best fit. Actually if you have any old trunk liners you may wish to keep them and actually lie it on top of the OEM liner when you have to cargo about dirty stuff. Less time to expend on cleaning the OEM.

Garage List
According to WeatherTech email to me, they have front and rear "laser" measured mats available for 2014 x5s. When i inquired about cargo liner, i was told it will be several months before available. I'm surprised it will take them "months" to make available.

Does anyone know if WeatherTech has BMW logo replacements for the F15?

That lip seems pretty big to me. Are there others that are even larger?

For F25 for example, the lip on the dead pedal is say 2-3 inches. The rest of the perimeter may be larger. Perhaps for the F15 this is/will be the option all weather mat. WeatherTech version maybe larger, if that is what is desired.

where and when and how much will they cost? (It isn't clear whether you are indicating that you'd like these things or that they are on their way to you)

I like the BMW brand all weather floor mats and I'm getting them when I get my X5. I'm thinking about getting them from the BMW website if I can't find them cheaper elsewhere.

Front mats: $85
Rear mats: $75
Cargo mats: $195.95

I think that this mat will look dirty all of the time:

all of that flat surface black area will show every speck of shoe dust, won't it? Was the E70 mat the same way and if so, did it look dirty all of the time?

all weather mats are soo damn ugly lol. They get that super dirty look in no time. I have of grooved oem all weather mats in the S550 and it's horrible. Looked super dirty all the damn time. I finally removed them and used the OEM carpet, much better. I know this all weather is not by weather tech.

I have the actual OEM MB weathertech mat for the ML550 and these are actually much better after some prep work. I used the Tuf Shine Tire Appearance Kit on the mats lol. It's rubber, should work the same and it definitely did. It kept the mats looking shiny but not overly shiny, a little on the matte side for that clean look instead of that dirty white dusty look after a while [Link]

I think I'll get the oem weathertech for the X5 whenever it comes because it looks good and I kind of need the durability.

If you don't need that much durability, you can always try Fabric Guard [Link] The liquid literally just sits on top of the carpet. I once left overnight food in the car without realizing and to make matters worse, it was dripping all over the carpet. Luckily I had used scotch guard so the next morning, the sauce was just sitting on top of the carpet and not soaked IN the carpet.

Cons for carpet mats:
Some stains won't come out. Even after scotch guarding prior or steaming it after. Ugly.
If it gets wet after rain or snow, and possibly mold and stink up the cabin.
Can't vacuum dirt cleanly because a lot of it gets imbedded in the fibers.
Unsightly heel worn spot gets formed after years of use.
General dirty/stank gets built up after years of use.

Pros for carpet mats:
Color matches the interior cabin.
Softer on bare feet...but do you want to put your bare feet on this carpet?
Looks better than all weather mats (although this is matter of opinion).

Pros for all weather mats:
Easy to vacuum. Everything gets picked up, except the shoe/fine dust.
Can take out and hose it and dry it in minutes and looks new again. No shoe/fine dust.
When it gets wet, won't soak through to the floor lining carpet and cause mold.
Kids can spill whatever they want. Take out and rinse. No stain....isn't that also one of the reasons why we like leather?

Cons for all weather mats:
Doesn't "flow" with the interior decor as well as the carpet mats (again, matter of opinion).
Doesn't feel as nice when bare foot.

I'll take practicality over aesthetic in this case...esp. with a kid.

When you guys talk about weathertech mats, are you specifically referring to their "Floorliner digital fit" mats:

Woah - those must have just come out. Unless I did something incorrectly, I checked a few days ago and didn't see anything for the 2014.

I think I'm going to go BMW liners upfront and weather-tech in the rear (since they cover the 'hump').

Good stuff.

^ BMW has the 'weather tech' style floor mats as posted by AEC #21. Logo says BMW. It is not on Can or USA website. Got my fronts today, looks very much same as pic's posted by AEC. Problem with rears, dealer say give it a week or two. It maybe a 2 piece rather than 1 piece rear.

I did not want the BMW mats as posted by Someguy #10, as the lip was not as deep as #21
