Hi John,

Sorry for the delay.... some hectic days lately.

Definitely let me know if you want to know something specific?

1. I purchased the car to enjoy it, and I've been driving very aggressively lately so the MPG has dropped to 27mpg. I probably will start being sensible soon and hope it will settle in the early 30's

2. Comfort Seats are great, when you get in the car you can hear them whirring into action. The padding is great and the adjustable lateral supports are awesome

3. Start/stop really annoys me...... Coding help needed to switch it off.

4. Eco Pro Mode equals boring and sometimes dangerous as the car just doesn't respond. It acts a bit drunk and docile.

5. LED headlights, make no mistake these are incredible. The adaptive beam is VERY clever

6. HK sound system lacks crispness/clarity but is powerful

7. Head up display VERY useful - no turning back, esp the entertainment functions

8. LED instrument panel, the resolution is very good. I don't agree with comments elsewhere that a KIA has better resolution???? lol come on !!

9. Rear comfort seats, a must have. The movement of the base is very useful

Go for the leather dash.... In hindsight I would have!

So far demolished an Audi A3, Focus ST, Range Rover Sport in a race :-)

2. They are comfortably lighting up about 400-500m in front of me
3. The light is absolutely pure white
4. The spread of the beam is much wider, especially road side and it's very sharply focussed
5. The cornering lighting system is much more powerful
Except for the cornering lights ( because my X5 does not have this ), I agree with the above comments. LED headlights is noticeably whiter, brighter, and it just brightens of the road very well.

You mean LCD.. but anyway can you please compare your instrument display with the iDrive screen and let us know? From my experience with the X6 the resolution is poor on the instrument display compared to the iDrive screen. You can see noticeable pixel dots and sort of like bleeding colors.. the image is not sharp at all. Perhaps in Europe BMW is using a different quality instrument?

Undoubtedly the resolution of the idrive unit is better. And I do agree with very small text there is bleeding and a lack of clarity!

For most applications it does remain very clear

I strongly suspect better resolutions in the near future as that panel has been around since 2011? You almost get a good idea of what the F15LCI will have
