Sorry, attached wrong pictures. When I was connected to my car, all green dots indeed turned into expandable folders.

Ok, excellent, thank you for confirming . I may ask your help later via TeamViewer in order to look at and compare your files to K-Bomb's. They can all thank you if the cafd files are useable for them.

Just bought the OBD2 cable from R33. I'm going to give it a shot coding it myself.

I've been in a couple of Jeep Wranglers for a while, but am ready to get back into some comfort (bad back).

This is my first accessory for the X5 that I haven't received yet, but is on order. I must be excited!!!

So if we have the new firmware can we simply downgrade to an old firmware and code our cars or is it still not possible to code the cars with the newer firmware? ( Besides the VO coding of course)

The latest 55.1 is not codeable unless there is some sort of successful downgrade procedure as performed by oshevtsov's coder friend or some other way of reading the code. I will look into this further, but as of right now, those of you on 55.1 don't really have any options. Coding is nearing its death bed, and many of us are struggling to keep it alive.

My recommendation:

1) Only visit dealers for service you absolutely need
2) If number 1 is something that is urgent and happening often, then establish some sort of relationship/way for them not to update your software - I know Shawn said this is not possible because there is a mandatory software update procedure they must follow, but there's always a loop hole somewhere even if it's very very slim.
3) If you have retrofitted a 6WB in a region where ISTA/P dealer software cannot read it yet, do not remove it. It will protect you from software updates. Only do this if you don't have any sort of vehicle malfunctions - most of the time, they will need access to your vehicle software if you have random errors where the ECU must be reset/read/coded etc. If you have oil changes and other regular "physical service" where software updates are not needed, keep the 6WB in.

Okay thank you for clearing that up. Hopefully a successfull downgrade can be figured out so we do not lose the ability to code our cars.

Enhanced Bluetooth

I have an X5 on its way to me that finished production on 3/17. I did not choose enhanced bluetooth thinking it was just the cradle, but just found information showing that I won't be able to browse my music library via bluetooth connection. I don't know much about coding, but saw there are issues with coding because of new firmware. Will it be possible to code my new X5 so I can browse my library via a bluetooth connection? Please advise. Thanks!

Should be. I'll know better in a few days after I get those cafd files.

Thanks for the response opasha ! I haven't noticed anything abnormal outside of the Kombi showing the gear number at random times. I will keep an eye on it and report back if anything goes wrong (chances are, it is just a cosmetic issue...).
I am having the same issue, except it would not come out of the manual gear while on D. I tried to pass someone in the highway and wouldn't downshift. I looked down and saw I was on drive, but showing M8. I ended up switching to M/S and down shifting manually. This happened multiple times during this week. I personally like the idea of having Sports+ and LC for the 3.5d, but not at the expense of a smooth driving experience while cruising.

So, here's what I'm thinking why this is happening. You guys don't have paddle shifters. This 2TB is primarily enabling SAT with PADDLE SHIFTER steering wheels to allow them to work. So, I'm guessing, it's out of wack because the system is looking for them and not finding them, so it randomly shifts out. Doesn't make much sense, but that's all I can think of.

For those of you who have not given up on LED Ant-Glare High Beam, I have figured out now why VO Coding all ECUs except DME might have worked. I have not come across anyone who has VO Coded in this format. ICM also needs to be VO Coded instead of just BDC_BODY, KAFAS, TMS, and LHM. Everything you want and need to know to understand the ins and outs of the Anti-Glare High Beam system and how it works, what it relies on, and what components it uses will be within this PDF: https://copy.com/nvKiqp1xGCjU6Is9

For all you brave souls who know how to code and still can with your LED headlights in the US or wherever you are that don't have Glare-Free currently, do the following:

1) Remove 5AP and 8S4 (if I coded your car or helped you, 8S4 is already removed) from your FA and follow the proper steps on writing it to your car

2) Read FA, Activate FA, Read ECU, VO Code (right click code) all ECUs EXCEPT DME (this is your engine, don't ever touch this ECU folder).

3) External Applications/External Application/Transmitter - Clear ALL DTCs

4) Go drive test your lights and report back - remember if you've coded your fogs with your high beams on after this, make sure they are off. Anti-Glare High Beams don't work with fogs on.

Ok, I just did the above coding on Trojanlaw's car, and I think I've solved Glare-Free high beam!

Feel free to test and let me know, everyone! The lights were moving and working as they were supposed to according to Trojanlaw.

Yep, according to what he saw and what we coded before with only the 6 Lighting ECUs previously...there was a definite difference. So, some important ECU or ECUs were missing that needed to be VO Coded. This also makes sense if you and everyone read the PDF I linked two posts back that talks about everything regarding the Anti-Glare for ALL BMWs.

Got it. Maybe I'll do it after visiting the guys in Portland and Seattle.
