winter/summer tire swap with lease?

thinking of leasing a X6 and getting performance tires 20" wheels, I always put winter/snow tires on even if the car comes with all season except since this is a lease and its a pain in the butt selling used wheels I am thinking of just changing the tires twice a year instead of having a whole set of wheels/tires like I have always done in the past.

Would there be any issues doing this? like can it effect the factory run flats? I am planning on getting non run flats for the winter.

I realize that over a 36 month lease this is 6 swaps which will run me around $480 in tire swap fees, but the alternative is buying a $1200 set of wheels and then trying to get some cash for them in 3 years when I get a new SUV...

this should not be an issue to swap it over 3 times over the lifetime of the lease. many people do this. just bring it to a reputable shop.

The issue is when you are constantly swapping runflats. Runflats do not like to be mounted and dismounted over and over again. Ask any tire professional and they will say the same.

I've been told the same thing - this was do-able with "normal" tires, but you'll likely find you have to replace the runflats after the 2nd change as the walls are damaged by the mounting/dismounting.
