LeopardM3, where in my post did I say that DHP will make your X5 handle like an M3? I've re-read it and can't find that statement. What I said, having driven both, was that X5 with DHP handles very differently to one without. I stand by that.

Its only silly if you're arguing that DHP will make your car handle like an M3. Just because you have another vehicle that handles like a beast, doesn't mean your X5 should handle like a boat.

DHP on the X5 provides a much better handling experience. No arguments can be made there. Yes its expensive to fix, but there arent many things in this vehicle that are cheap to fix anyways.

I'm not saying you did yourself, that's why I mentioned the general tenor of DHP-related discussions on the forum.

The way people talk about it, you'd think it turns the X5 into a racecar. I've driven them, it's decent - hence the second part of my post - but it's not a world-changer.

Yeah, hence the second part of my post. Like I said, no argument it makes a difference. I only quibble with people's perceptions and general tenor of posts I've seen that make it sound like this thing is world-changing.

And fair on the expensive part, nothing is cheap to fix out of warranty on these cars.... *sigh*

This discussion reminds me that I need to drive my M3 this weekend. Or maybe take the E30 out.

I was hoping you wouldn't take it that way.

I really love the e46 m3. My apologies if I came across that way as it was not meant to mock you.

Ha, ok no worries! I didn't take it hard anyway, I'm pretty laid back. But I appreciate you clarifying

2016 x6m

I have owned the 2012 x5m and now own 2016 x6m the 2016 is way better to drive. Its better comfort and the handling and brakes are way better mpg is around 18 around town but mine is mapped so might be even better.

18 mpg ? Seems a bit high for a x6m for around town if you said hwy I would say that’s pretty good, then again people who buy x5m and x6m don’t buy them for there fuel mileage.

That is great gas mileage! Your wife has a really light foot tell her to use some of that 700 hp once in a while. I’m sure you do when you drive it!
