A+ Service - 4x4 system at 60k mi

I'm curious on people's thoughts on whether this service is actually needed (for $500). Apparently they change the front & rear differential and transfer case fluids. Is this something that can be put off until ~ 100k mi?

Tell them to change the transmission fluid pan as well. I did mine at 80k.... I would do it now if I were you.

Btw you could save yourself all that money if you did it yourself.... it's not a hard job to do just need to be able to put the X5 on 4 stands.

Is it truly needed? - No
Can be put off until ~ 100k mi? - Yes
Is it something discussed ad nauseam and has reached religious levels? - Absolutely

I would do the transfer case fluid with transmission every 60-80K miles and diffs every second transmission service.
