Alarm Siren Not Working

So my 2014 X5 has stopped chirping when I locked the doors. The settings for this are on in the iDrive settings and it is coded correctly. I was told by BMW that my alarm siren (part number 65759383320) is most likely bad. I know the location is somewhere in the rear of the car but I can't find and videos or post about how to replace it. I have enough know-how to do this myself but was wondering if anyone knew the exact location of this siren and how to get to it? I'd rather just do it myself than have BMW charge me some ridiculous amount to have my out-of-warranty X5 fixed.

Thanks!

It appears it is located just below the right tail light.

Hello - Did you find it and easy to get to? Are there batteries there that could go bad too? My alarm is making a high pitch sound, but softer than normal.

Thanks - just hoping the X5 starts in the morning - and perhaps doing what i saw somewhere and not activating alarm will allow the main battery to charge the alarm system. Makes sense it is not easily found either.

I have the same issue. Also, I located the 2 fuse boxes, but there seems to be a 3rd that I cannot find. It's the one that house the low number fuses (1-18). The passenger side Rear and below the glove-box ones start at 19 I believe.

Is the horn and tilt sensor unit all in one on this car?

The horns are separate from the tilt sensor and alarm siren which are one unit.

You didn't just happen to have your x5 in for service and "maybe" have a software update? My advisor said no software update, but I don't know if I believe him.

Just checked the fuses - all look good (fuses 19, 28 42). They were in the passenger footwell. Really odd that after this service it happened. I did notice right away that there is a new "GPS" location option that was not there before (I think).

Video too large to upload...

No I just purchased it off lease. The fellow who was leasing it said it just stopped working one winter.
I can not locate the siren though. It isn’t where SCA posted. I also looked at some spots that were shown to be on the older model X5s and nada.
