Tires are 34 psi all around, fyi, as delivered from dealer.

I see the door jam sticker says to have higher pressure, front and rear.

@geye1970 Are you still considering trading your wheels plus cash for 19's? I initially sent you some info, posted a few photos and a pm but haven't received any response. Just curious, if not please let us know. I do have fairly new Michelin non runflat tires.

Anyone go with a straight set-up with the DWS06 on 20" wheels? 275's front and back?

Couple of members here I remember went with square setup 275. It's all positives, ability to rotate front to back, easier to replace a bad tire, cheaper setup overall etc. The only "negative" is you won't have that famous X5 fat rear end look.

Sorry, have not seen any primate message notification on this site.

Are your wheels the style 449? If I go to 19s, that's what I would want.

Interesting thought...

I for one, think the X5 with the 20s has obnoxiously wide rear tires.

can you run narrower tires on the presumably wider rear wheels?

Hey geye1970, I'm in the same boat as Slickrick2....if trade doesn't work with him let me know. I have 19" style 467 m wheels with basically brand new tires.
I know not the 449 style but let us know.
Thanks

Yes, you can run the same 275 size that is used up front. You'll just be at the max wheel width for the tires and have that stretched look with the lips fully exposed. Personally, I think it looks like crap.

You'll also be reducing the overall diameter in the rear which could cause transfer case issues down the road. It's by no means a given, but a risk.

Like everyone else said, swap to Conti DWS 06 and keep the 20 if I were you.

This is my plan when the Pirelli-RF are worn.

I sent you two pm's on the initial posting of your intent. Regardless here is what I have. I purchased a 2015 X5 m-sport in February with 9,054 miles. In April 11, 2018 I ordered 4 new Michelin premier LTX XL tires from tire rack. $931. 255/50R - 19. I replaced the run flats which I have in storage. Here is a recent pict of my car with wheels and tires. Not the model you want but I think these are better looking. Let me know if there is interest.

Thanks, Rick.

@ Slickrick2 , thank you for the offer and your interest. At this point, I'm not interested in a trade for that particular wheel type.

Thank you

No problem. Best of luck in your search. I'm certain someone will have what you are looking for.

Thanks, Rick.

Good looks. Will give them a shout and see what's up.

I wish MYBMW had more detailed updates than "Production Begins" / "Production Ends."

ETA should be less than a week...!

I believe if it’s a lease it has to be turned in with run flat tire’s , someone please correct me if I wrong.

Hi there,

I do have a very nice set of 449 with RT that I am interested in trading, I sent you a PM a few days ago. What style do you have?

Off topic but where are you located?

I'm in NYC and once it changed to "Finishing touches" my car was delivered 3 days later.

Any reason why everyone is saying Conti DWS? Why not Michelin PS A/S 3? I am running these (275/315) and they're great.

More experience with the DWS...I believe the Michelins are newer to market in our fitment.

Obnoxiously wide? I think it looks beautiful with wide rear tires... Rather have them than the skinny tires on a large vehicle. If you want a nice luxury plush ride then a Mercedes or Lexus are probably better suited. BMW tend to be on the sportier side of cars.
