I guess I got bored, last two months i got perf brakes and power kit, alcantara headliner...need to know when the stop. Now thinking mirrors and/or rear difusor carbon...

Lol. I should have phrased it differently. I meant that aftermarket usually doesn't look anything like ///M. Tho I think you are right, in general it's only a badge that people put on non M cars - that causes shenanigans. I think it's safe to assume that everything else (besides badge) should not be considered like wanna be. M cars hold no patent or copyright to exterior cosmetics - be it spoilers, fender flairs, grills, mirror caps etc.

Your average person is not going to look at the mirror covers and decide if the car is a proper M or not, doubt they would even notice the covers, and even if they did, I doubt they would know that M cars have those mirrors and others don't.

Now the car enthusiast, who knows about M cars and little things like mirror covers, body kit being different, exhaust notes, interior, seats, wheels will know whether a car is a proper M or not regardless of the mirrors.

So I say do what you want, its your car, who cares what others think.

You paid X,000's of pounds to own a car like this, you get to choose what to do to it without worrying about what other people think.

I bought exactly same ones (only they were already in USA, so faster shipping and hence price was $140 lol). Just a heads up - you may brake couple clips while installing those - fitment is good, but not OEM like. However, they look good.

Nice! How long have you had them? Any issues? I’ve read some have added a layer of clear coat. I’ve also experienced cheap molding that splits at the edges.
