Considering a used 2020-2023 X5M Competition

I am in the market for a used 2020-2023 X5M Competition.

Very familiar with F15 platform but not F85 platform.

Will be looking for a one-owner vehicle with a verifiable maintenance history.

All advice and feedback appreciated.

Are you looking for an F95 (ie a 2020-current X5M) or an F85 (2015-2018 X5M)?

Thank for asking. Actually either platform - F85 or F95 - is under consideration.

Thanks for asking. I am primarily interested in maintenance items over several years of ownership.

my experience is one of many in this forum. My take is my F86 is overall reliable and the newer ones as well, although not quite Lexus bullet proof reliable. only had mine for 8K miles so it is limited. Regular maintenance are ccited several times and a few catastrophic failures which are expensive to fix. As long as you are aware and accept that then you are good.

Appreciate it. The cost of catastrophic failures is indeed expensive (read several threads). I plan to get a mechanical breakdown insurance policy which will cover major items.

Makes sense. I truly enjoy driving the F86, and that is putting it in the context that my other car is a 1300 WHP GTR, which is a blast as well in a different way. Enjoy!
