F15 on All Terrains
Just had these 255/55/18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers mounted on my OEM wheels. Very happy with the outcome.

Looking good! Btw, did you have them installed at the dealer? If not, did you find a shop to force balance the tires, or just used a regular shop?

I always use discount tire. They force balance, and work on wheels and tires (American force off-road forged wheels) on 35x13.5s for me and I’ve never had an issue. I’d absolutely never waste the money to take it back to bmw to do a simple task like that lol

That’s great, didn’t think discount tire would force balance. i tried one reputable indy and was told they don’t offer any tire services but they have the machinery to force balance if needed as part of a larger service work, so I gave up and spent $$$ at the dealer who also forced me into buying tires from them (apparently they will only install tires purchased from them) next time I’ll use discount tire!

I work for a commercial general contractor, so I don’t wanna get stuck in wet grass on site in front of all our workers lol

You could probally squeeze a larger sidewall ie 255/75/r18 that should fill up the wheel gaps a little more or have that 20in rim look, and give you a 1/2 inch more ground clearance, 255/85/R18 would be about 21in rim but might risk of scraping the wheel well when bottoming out.
BTW how's tire noise? |

Niceeee! My next set of tires will be AT also. BMW's all wheel drive is quite good, all that is needed are proper AT tires and just a tiny bit more ground clearance. My OEMs are the 19" all around. Since there are no AT in 255/50R19, I will get 255/55R19. The added size in tire diameter is so small, I do not think I will have a problem with the fronts rubbing when turning full lock...
