20" Wheels Unavailable?

My dealer said that 20" wheels were not available and on backorder from the manufacturer to BMW until late Jan/Feb timetable. I noticed a few guys here that have ordered their vehicles with 20" wheels and have not have any problems in getting a slot. I might also add that this is to be 50i build and have noticed a few issues (software?) related to the 50i so I don't know if it's that or really a backorder issue with the wheels.

Not sure on the 20" but my dealer told me BMW is having shortage of wheels supply overall. They offer a "winter package" that comes with wheels and winter tires and you have the option to get in either 18" or 19". Both are in backorder until January and according to the parts department person I talked is that BMW cannot get the wheels to assemble the packages from Germany. BTW, the wheels available in these kits are the ones than come in the X line for 19" and the basic no line for 18".

Yeah, the 20" wheels are on back order. Several people stated that they will have them in Jan / Feb. The people on here that have their 50i and 20" wheels ordered them before they ran out.

If not yet ordered, one nay want to hurry at $995 great deal. Shortages may lead to price increases. In one month they raised he MSport price by $800.

When did they raise the Msport price? Early on or did this just happen? I ordered in Oct 30th.

Not sure about in the US but in Canada it went from $3200 to $4000 a few months ago.

That was in Canada. August 6, 2013 from $3200 to $4000.
