Unhappy Further X50 Production Delays?

The general manager of the dealer from whom we ordered a new X50i in early November was in Greenville this week for a series of meetings. According to the conversations he had there, the supplier shortages for 20" wheels, cameras and dashboards continue to be serious and are likely to cut January production by as much as 50%. According to this source, who understandably wished to remain nameless, it's likely to be February before anything close to full production is achieved. The dealers who were at this same meeting expressed their frustration about the situation but it seems that the production requiring those components will likely remain difficult for at least another eight weeks or so. Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings...

Wow. I'd love to hear the back story on how they allowed their supply chain to be fubared.

I got my production number yesterday with a pickup date for week 7. Loaded with 20" wheels.

I heard the same thing last week from my dealer, an off the record comment but he told me March is the likely target for full production. He also told me BMW is being very hush hush regarding the exact. Sucks!

What's your production week, if you've got pickup in week 7?

Last I heard from my CA (who has stopped talking to me, as I've changed my order so many times!) my build was due for week 5 (also with 20" wheels)
