I had 3 non-RFT sets. I am now debating to replace current all seasons or wait three years. It meets my needs being an all year tire. Great in winter but you may give up summer performance. Their dedicated winter is the hakkapeliitta, if your driving warrants it. They invented the snow tire.

These seem to fit the bill for my needs. Where I am, the temperature swings too quickly (particularly during the edge seasons) to make dedicated winter/summer tires worth it (or safe, for that matter). So I am willing to give up a bit of summer performance (even tread-longevity) for tire that's all-weather (as in, winter-rated, rather than just 'all-season'). |

From 1 addicts: some talk of WR series, more about the Hakka R2's.
http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=905766 Good point on varying temperature in driving ones specific driving location. Often overlooked factor. European and Germany tyre ratings had various Nokians highly rated. They are developed in Finland. |

Nokian seem to be not as popular in NA and are priced as premium.
I was quoted $1854 tax in for the WRG2 245/50R19 in August. Yesterday, my tire guy says no stock for my province. I have not shopped other dealers as I like my tire guy as I have been with him for years. |
