N57 engine, oil recommendations

Hi all, just wondering What oil? oil brand are people favouring for the n57 40d Engine, 👍🏻

I used BMW oil ... not that expensive and the most critical item to keep engine runs as designed. I am pretty sure there are other good brands ... but not sure if they are approved by BMW.

I really like Driven oil, and run it for all our vehicles. I run Di60, DT40 and DP40 (for diesel)… LN engineering is place to order from, great stuff!

Any full synth oil which meets the relevant LL spec. Depending on the climate, 5w30 or 5w40.

I’ve been using the factory fill BMW oil every 5k miles. Blackstone oil analysis shows the engine is happy.

I’ve been considering going with a Liqui Moly 6100.
