N63 mixture control
I recently purchased a 2014 x5 50i m sport.
And I am trying to track down the issue. I’m getting the mixture control deviation to rich. I did notice today that when sitting stationary I can kind of smell fumes. (As I did with my s63 x5 m) Sometimes if I sit and let it idle a while, a Puff of smoke comes out after taking off. I did some investigating. And saw that the intake pipes were cracked. So I replaced those. And still have the code. Could this be related to the airbag light and electrical? Could this be the oil return lines under the turbos clogged up? |

I popped the drain plug. And it (the oil) smelled like gas.
And my friend who is a master tech at BMW said it’s common. And since it is “mixture control” that is coming up for a code. Which relates to the HPFPs themselves. The mixture control can also be related to injectors. And Low pressure fuel pump. I counted both of those out of carrying out the bmw diagnostic step by step test plan for each fault entered. |
