X6 iDrive screen going out.

So I get into my car yesterday and my screen was very dim. Later in the day I noticed overlapping text. I have no idea how or why this happened.

Was wondering if anyone has experienced this and/or has any advice.

I looked for replacement screens but the two I found both have scratches on them.
Also looked into retro fitting as a solution but that would cost a lot more than I would like to spend .

Did you try an iDrive reboot to see if it would help? If you’ve never heard of this…a google search of “BMW iDrive reboot” should turn up multiple videos and discussions. If you select a video…choose one that has a similar iDrive version…like if you have NBT…look for similar…don’t do iDrive7….or CCC version. There may be slight differences like the pressing of an additional button in other versions.

Yes he should definitely try out a Idrive reboot….It should work
