Question iPad holders...for the new X5

Does anyone know if the iPad holders that come from BMW accessories would fit with all iPad products?
In particular, I have noticed that the iPad 2 and iPad Air have different dimensions...so does this holder cover both dimensions? is it adjustable?

ipad Air

I asked my dealer to ask the same question of BMW. Given the sheer size of the ipad market, and that they have an adapter for the iphone 5 and 5s, I would hope when my car arrives in a few months there will be an iPad Air version.

Audi is still selling vehicles with only a dedicated 30-pin iPhone connector, and no USB port.

I don't know if the BMW version offers anything different than the dozens of others on the market, but there are plenty of options that fit each or multiple size tablets. Does the BMW ipad holder integrate into the car any better or is it just a holder like the after market options?

There is no seamless integration with ipad Holder. its just piece of plastic which holds ipad like many other open market products. However, you see BMW logo when your ipad is not in place, if that justifies the $150 pricing.

RocketFish is popular but they have discontinued it.
