Very solid numbers! I need more on the e30 tune you made. Any fitment issues with the VRSF intercooler? You're about the only one I've seen on the forum running it. Did you happen to chart IAT's before and after the VRSF IC? Did the xhp tranny tune improve shifts significantly?

Thanks!
Its a custom tune I made using my stock file and flashed via MHD. About 18psi mid range and 16psi up top. I've been making maps using various fuel and mods since my x5 was stock. Ive made 93 maps , e30 maps, e50 maps, and full e85 maps. I've also recently tried the map switching via MHD and its pretty cool, you can switch maps while driving.

XHP does shift quicker and it raises the trans tq limiters so I don't have to make the DME under report calculated tq to the trans. Drives like stock (slightly lower shift points) in comfort and economy modes. Worth it.

Here's a draggy of my lower setting map , 16 psi flat.

The VRSF works great and a relatively easy install aside from the C clip connections being a pain. I'll make a separate thread about it. I wouldn't get a smaller size fmic.

Here's stock vs vrsf FMIC logs . 2nd gear to middle of 4th. Both start around 75* iat. Vrsf only rises 4* throughout the pull. Stock rises 31*

^^^Very nice! I'd love to see a separate thread on the VRSF FMIC. I'm running BM3 stage 2 w/ ER catless downpipe, but haven't upgraded the FMIC yet. I like the price point of the VRSF FMIC.

I'm loving the tune and it's def making some power. No draggy or track times unfortunately. I've been spending most of my time tracking down a bad passenger side front control arm and having the some front axle repairs done. I did do some data logging once I flashed the BM3 stage 2 tune. Max peak psi for stock was 10. Max peak psi for BM3 stage 2 was 19. I'll try to get some draggy info shortly.

My quickest 1/4 and 1/8th draggy to date in the x5. Looks like I let out early ,I was running out of room. I'll try again when I get some time.

I'm really aiming for 3.xx stock turbo.
What's the n55 f15/16 stock turbo record?

Not really. Full e85 is plenty is octane, fmic is working good.
Meth may be helpful at the strip when it gets hot from staging but not necessary to me.

Impressive stuff for sure. Which intake are you running and how much of a pain was that HPFP to install?

Are you going to continue to push it?

Did I somehow miss him saying he has a HPFP installed?

I think he lists his mods in each post. Assuming the FX-180 is the HPFP below.

FX-180: http://spoolperformance.us/index.php...&product_id=90

Also, I think that is only way you can run E85 (run out of fuel with the stock setup).

Yup, installed the spool FX180 mid September. Wasn't a bad install at all. I didn't take the intake manifold all the way out I just took the nuts off and made it pivot out of the way (DME attached to intake mani is no fun).

I can run a little richer in the mid range now without any rail pressure drop, hpfp holds 2900 flat at all times pretty much.

I recently installed an n20 TMAP sensor and have been dabbling with 22.x psi mid range. Seems to like it but I haven't been out to get some good times yet.

That's the one. I've run full e85 on the stock fuel system but it's no fun. Had to limit boost to ~13psi. E30 is def a better mix for power and keeping the hpfp happy.

Stock lpfp seems to do good on full e85 with the fx180
