I was totally against the new X5 rear end until i saw the X5M pics. They added enough to make it just mean enough..

That's always been the case for X5M and X6M. Likewise for M3/M4 and precious gen M3 sedan and coupe.

WEIGHT

The front was better before.

The side of the x6M looks significantly more muscular and so it will be an even more good looking car in person.

The x5M is shorter! Wow... the car should even corner harder.

Am I the only one who did not see a weight comparison?????????????

What are the weights of the new cars????????????????????

I am not a fan of the new X5, however I do think the new X5M looks a bit better then the old X5M. But still, why wouldn't I just buy the outgoing model with a warranty since the interior is 90% of the new one, the exterior is 80% of the new model, the performance is 90% of the new model, etc.... at less than 50% of the cost. It seems BMW is designing cars with diminishing return much like cell phones. The new car just isn't that much better to justify the price.

Because it is better than the previous generation.

Yes, older gen is better in price, but the new gen is more than 10% better if you read the specs and engineering side-by-side.

tail light too big, should've been downsized for that future look...and the front they have to come up with a new design of the bumper they've been re-doing that design for year twisting the lines..

That's the case with almost any new car.

^^^ And if it is a MY2013, you are dealing with 2 years of warranty left and how hard it was "driven"

So, I was one of those who was very skeptical of the look coming in, but, boy do I stand corrected.

Im a big fan of the new front. I think that higher and squarer nose makes for a much meaner look.

I am also a fan of the new side gill. The camo looked to me like they were going to completely drop the side accent, but, I really like what they have done with it.

Racing seats? Interesting.

Just like the M3, the rear fender flares look like an afterthought. The E-series flowed into the flare whereas the F-series is like a painted screw on flare. Cool for those who want to upgrade their non-M looks... I guess... if that's even possible.

Oh well, it is otherwise a step up for the X5.

I feel like BMW is finally nailing these interiors. The E-series interiors all feel very dated, otherwise E cars are aging well.
