I agree with v12. I really don't like the back profile of new X5. It looks like a van, especially when viewed from a side due to excessively steep rear angle.

The front bumper doesn't appear to be the M-sport version. Correct me if I am wrong.

Regardless, thanks for the pics.

No problem! You can't just walk by a brand new BMW without sharing it with your fellow enthusiasts!

Although the OP actually never claimed this to be an X5M, I wouldn't be so sure about your statement.

It is very possible that we are looking at an X5 M50d...

You are probably right. It looks like the X5 M50d. I guess it might be an interesting option to simply order these two front bumper fillers from Germany and switch them with the all-black M Line parts. IMO, this little chrome-divider makes a huge difference. The huge, all-black plastic-fillers are the only weakness of the M Line design.

looks good. unfortunately, we are replacing the e70 with a ML 350 (wife's call, better value, more comfortable ride).

I am simply undecided on this one.

Having a 2012 50 Sport I am a little partial to the outgoing model. This model just seems a little off to me. Every picture makes it seem like it needs a drop and yet the wheels look too small for the vehicle size.

This is m50d. Optional wheels are way bigger and look better.

No, I am also of the same opinion. I am not sure i like it more than my current E70, from 2008!

Xline is the way to go. The M sport bumper is surprisingly boring and poorly done. It's a shame though. I'd prefer the Msport package overall.

I am not really liking how the hood meets up with the headlights. The transition does not look clean to me.

Yeah, the front is just too busy. A simpler look would have do it better.
