ventil on the tyre replacement

Hi guys, no clue what the actual thing is called, but its called ventil in German . Had tyre change done at non-BMW shop and they've changed the tires (to my old winter ones from E71), but trashed this part from my OEM wheels and put some black silicone one (or something like that). Really tried to order with BMW but they said it cannot be ordered from BMW as it ONLY comes with the car unless you order the whole indiv. tyre pressure system and ditch the sensor part (70 euros per wheel)!

Car has normal tyre pressure system (not individual one per each tyre) and they said that I got it on my wheels eventhough those metal looking ones usually come with the indiv. tyre pressure.

Enclosed photo of one of the forum members to see what I am talking about. Can anyone order OEM ones or has a way of getting them.

Of course this may be irrelevant to 99% of you out there, but I want to have this.

THanks!

Hello

It is called a "valve stem" in English

Let me just get your question correct:
Do you want the original BMW rubber one ?
Or do you want the original BMW metal one ?
Is it the whole vale stem you want or just the metal tip that screws on and off ?

You have a F15 X5 ?
You do not have the optional tyre pressure monitor, option code 2VBA ?

Ok, part number is "36 10 6 867 147"
It is number 12 in the photo, which is the valve stem with all its parts.
Number 7 would be the valve stem and the pressure monitor

Don t worry if you have a different wheel than in the picture, the stems are all the same.

Do you think it works without the pressure monitor? The very end of the valve system (part# 12) looks a bit different on the photo (not round as with part#6).

Thanks again.

The end is different because it has a part where the pressure monitor can be fastened onto with a screw.

The rubber one does not have this hole for the screw, so looks rounder.

You sure it will work without the whole system. Valve stem cost 46 euro per piece. Thanks again for your efforts!

I have never done it myself, but you did say your car had them on before.
I cannot see why it would not work.

Dealer told me it won't work without the whole sensor package as the tip part has to go into sensor (which was a change in their opinion as of today). They've also told me they have no clue which ones I had on the wheel, they think it might have been plastic ones that got painted when the wheel was being painted which is just riddiciluos guess. In the end they provided me with a non OEM similar product. Anyways, thanks for your help. So no clue what exactly I had, but I know they were appearing to look metal (or were metal looking) and looked pretty cool.

FYI, Valve stem is just a valve stem. The valve stem used for the TPMS is special because you can mount the sensor to the valve stem. Without the sensor attached, the valve stem will work and functional as regular valve stem.
How do I know, I sell and installed them.
