I enquired to my dealer that I've just ordered my X5 from and he said their parts system had just been updated and was showing an iPhone 6 adapter but no Universal so he checked the part number I provided him with off this forum. He came back with a price of £175 inc VAT with a 4-5 day delivery to Scotland UK.

He was probably looking at the phone name list where the universal lists "Apple lightning", not universal

Sorry to resurrect this old thread. However, when lurking over on the M forum I found that a user over there had much success with his iPhone 6 Plus using the universal adaptor (BMW part number 84212365786). I have an iPhone 6 Plus as well and was frustrated that I could not use the cradle in the center console. I know many of you remove this cradle from the center console and there is a great DIY thread on how to remove it. I ordered my 2016 X5 50i with the smartphone integration and it looks like this should work for me. I ordered from ecstuning.com. However, you have to locate the part on that website by typing in the part number in the search field. If you try to locate by reference to your vehicle, this part is not located.
