H&R links and springs sound

I recently got the car lowered with rear suspension links in the back I think I hear the compressor In the back trying to pump air is this normal? Or do I have to code something?

Any help would be appreciated it

No, you do not need to code anything. Is it pumping all the time, and is your rear bags lowered/slammed if you don't drive the car for a bit (maybe a day or more)?

So the car was lowered on Monday or last week and I left it sitting till Friday
I turned it on and I hear them so I haven’t used it since wanted to do some research first before using the car and then potentially messing up the bags

sThe pump for the rear airbags is at the passenger side, around the middle of the car. If you want, do a quick visual check of the bags as well as that pump to see if anything is off. I'll let others opine since I'm only speaking from experience, but do some measuring and make sure both rears aren't dropping lower than they should and you should be fine. Again, no coding is needed.

If it is the sound when you first unlock your car, I'm pretty sure it is the fuel pump just prepping (here are some threads on it: https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1448185 and https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1379218); this should be for only like a few secs before it stops. I have that sound on mine as well.

I tried to upload a video on here for some reason it isn’t working I’ll upload a vid on YouTube and you can click on the link and see if that’s normal or that's actually the bags

Your engine is on, right? If that's the case, all I'm hearing is your car running... I.e., doesn't sound like the pump is actually running. If it's just in accessory mode and makes that much noise, then I would be concerned.

Assuming the former is the case, just put it in accessory mode and see if there is any sound. Pretty sure that pump does not require the engine to be on to work. Better yet, just measure your current ride height from the center cap to the fender, leave the car there for a few hours (if not overnight), and measure it again afterward. If your bags are leaking, it would be very obvious now that you are lowered. There are a bunch of threads about this on the forum too so do some searches .

Just wanted to mention from experience that a visual check will not verify anything. The bags crack where they crease on top, this section of the bag is under the top cap and can not be seen while they're still on the vehicle.

^ Agree. Hence, the measuring method is superior . I don't think I know of any other methods since I've never heard a code being thrown for this issue.
