New York's 1st Annual BMW meet and photoshoot at FBF

Hello everyone. As promised we are doing another BMW meet before it gets stupid cold and nasty...

The only thing that is set in stone IS the LOCATION and TIME:

Floyd Bennett Field  

Address: 50 Aviation Rd, Brooklyn, NY 11234

Time: 9AM-12PM

Date: TBA, Maybe 11/7 or 11/8


This is for ALL BMW's but we would REALLY like to see More X3's, X6's, X5's, X1's etc. But honestly everyone is invited!!

The only concern I have is if it's going to be Saturday November 7th or Sunday the 8th, which is why you folks will provide some input. The majority in favor will decide which day is best.

PLEASE SHARE THIS WITH YOUR BMW FRIENDS AND FORUMS. THANKS EVERYONE

Some things we will be doing:

1) Talking about BMW's
2) Referencing all of the $$ we spend on Mods
3) Eating and drinking coffee
4) Making New Friends!!
5) Talking about BMW's, lol

Foot Notes: A) Please be safe and responsible at all times, B) The time will not change as this is the best time for a large group, C) We do not need any permits, D) We can move the dates to the following week if need be.

Since its early in the morning I should be able to make it both days.

I don't think illegally setting up a drag race there is a good idea unless you want to risk everyone getting kicked out. More so if this meet turns into a decent size which will draw more attention from the park police. Not really sure the point of drag racing SUVs anyways...

A few* runs was just if... That's all. Like you Alan I've been going there for about 15 years, raced plenty of times safely 2 or 3 times each time I went, never got caught in my life. And there were plenty of people at times; but out of blatant observations on our event if there is too many people it won't happen guaranteed. For the most part it's just a good ol' regular photo shoot/meet

Count me in but if we have a bunch of people driving around like idiots and being annoying with their engine revving I'm out! I see this happen all the time when we have larger groups.. lot of the kids like to make "noise" to attract attention.

Yup We have about 40. But split obv because about 12 ppl prefer Sat and 10 prefer Sunday, and the others dont care. I will finalize the day this weekend by the extra responses I get from bumping the post.

What is the deal with this airfield is it totally abandoned and are there no trespassing signs anywhere? Or is it a park now?

It's run by national park service and open to public. It also houses training facility for NYC Sanitation and air unit NYPD. I trained there for Sanitation back in '07. I've seen many cars groups have gatherings, mostly during summer.
