They've done great with no bottoming out. I've figured out where those imperfections on the interstate are and I avoid that lane. Still hard for me to fully access the handling with these since I've got a non-coilover related front right suspension issue. When I corner aggressively the issue triggers the traction control light. My mechanic took a ride with me and suspects dry tie rod end links. I've got to drop it off next week for him to pinpoint.
Awesome. Would love to hear your assessment after you get that issue resolved.

Might be worth trying something as simple as coil spring helpers. They are inexpensive rubber blocks that fit in between the coils of the spring. They are primarily to assist when towing, but might just work to give you a slight reduction in spring compression to avoid bottoming out.

Ya I hate to say it but bottoming out from time to time on the highway is inevitable while slammed on coilovers. Par for the course. I'd be hard pressed to hear any of our KW colleagues say it never ever happens...

I'm in beautiful south Florida where the roads average 8 of 10. So for me bottoming out is not an issue but may affect others based on their territory, of course. Also, keep in mind - KWs coilovers are fully customizable to suit your driving style/surface.

As we all know, there is no such thing as a perfect setup!

In fairness to BC Racing coilovers I'm currently sitting on. The couple of spots I've bottomed out on are spots on the interstate that needed repaired. Not just your standard pothole or imperfection.

I bought directly from https://bcracing-na.com/

Shipping was free and somehow I didn't have to pay tax. $1,050 shipped to my door. Ebay and other vendors had them slightly cheaper but with tax it came out to be more. Now go pull the trigger. Mine were on back order so took 2 weeks to ship. Maybe you'll get lucky.

I only see X6 for 2017 . I also just found threads on the Silvers Neomax kit. Interesting.

Yes, they only market them to the X6 but they def work for the X5. I thought the same thing as you then classic_erik explained that.

There's a few threads on the Silvers. I PM'd a couple guys with them and never got a response. Erik was super helpful with the BC's and judging by the pics he's very OCD about his ride so that helped my decision.

Hoping to see some more shots of coilovers paired with 20" wheels (469m's would be a bonus). There is no doubt that lowered on 22"s looks amazing, but wondering if it would make the 20" wheels looks smaller.

IMO, it would make the 20" wheels look smaller

I feel like the drop actually made my 22" wheels look smaller. It's a large SUV with large wheel wells.

Yea, I def like the 20's but am curious and that's why I only wanted a moderate drop. I do recall a side shot Erik posted though of his BC coilovers with the black 611m's on and it looked great but I'd have to see some other angles.

Do you experience any creaking from the suspension that Erik slightly mentioned in his build thread with these coilovers?

That actually looks better than I thought, but Erik's ride is a one of a kind. As good as that looks, his 22's now look perfect IMO. Those 20's do look good too though.

I'm a bad example because before the coilover install I had a creaking sound that I was hoping was coming from the OEM front right strut mount. But the coilovers didn't solve the issue so I'm leaning toward the only lower front right control arm I haven't replaced. Dropping it off at my mechanics shop sometime this week for him to diagnose.

Ah my bad - that's right. Now that I'm thinking about it, I can't think of anyone on the F15 with KWs without self leveling/air. Would be curious to hear any sort of review/pics.

Also curious if you were to get different spring rates from BC if that would help with the bottoming out. I know I did that with my STI several several years ago.
