Every time I buy a new car I say to myself like a mantra: "You need to go practical, buy silver or gray". And 9 out of 10 I end up with black on black. Must be car wash + detailing fan... So when it came to ordering F15 I went with a bit of a compromise for the interior: EXT Black sapphire + INT Mocha Nappa from Pure Experience package (EU) + Aluminium Hexagon trim.
P.S. Still can't figure how can one have beige/ivory interior. Yes, it kind of gives more light/space to the car, but /facepalm every time you take the kid for a ride. |

I have asked my CA to get me more information on individuals. If that doesn't work out, then I am going black on black. Ivory white looks great and wouldn't have hesitated if I was leasing for few years.. I am buying and planning to keep it for a while.

AFAIK individuals take much more time in terms of delivery (my dealer told me at least 8 months waiting time vs. usual 5 here and if, God forbid, a scratch/etc. was to be repaired - I'd have to wait weeks to get the individually mixed color from the factory in Germany).
So if you're worried about getting X5 the soonest, individual is definitely not the best option. Then again... it all comes down to practicality vs living the dream |

individual is for the interior.. Exterior is black sapphire.. decided on that.. Let's see what the CA has to say about how much it cost and how long will it take.. might have to go with black on black but you made a good point.. thanks
