So I hope someone can help me out on this one. 2018 X5 X35i. When I go into reverse and then brake for the first time, I hear a single click coming from the front. Then when I release the brake and continue in reverse and brake again, it doesn't happen. This is a reoccurring issue. It happens from park to reverse and from drive to reverse. Yes I can take it in for warranty service but wanted to get your guys opinion first. Granted I'm lowered and running 22" wheels. Hope that has nothing to do with it. Thanks

happens only during the first brake after a change of direction? example: going from forward then reverse then brake = click? or going from reverse then forward then brake - click? and then after that it doesnt make the click noise until you change direction again? its probably the brake pads shifting, happens to mine as well.

It happens when going forward then reverse then brake and then click. Also happens when I'm parked and go into reverse then brake and click.

Weird part is when I'm reversing and hear the click after braking I then will continue to reverse and brake and no click. It's just the initial braking where it clicks. Normal?

I originally thought this and most likely correct on a new 2018 but on my 2015 it was the transfer case slop, however mine happened without using brakes so different story here, but keep in mind.
