Eibach springs

Hello all
I'm thinking of lowering my car
Need some feedback from owners
How much stiffer is the ride
Body roll
How low did you go
Do you have adjust the geometry

Thank you

Hi.

I lowered mine two days ago with Eibach. It's 2cm lower. The kit came with two front springs. I don't have springs rear. I contacted BaanVelgen and they said that back should be lowered at my dealer. So had to go to my dealer and they programed rear end to be lower 2cm.

I decided to put on Eibach because of too much body roll for me. Before I drove 200km/h couple of times and the car didn't feel stabile. Now it's great. And the stiffnes is not an issue in my opinion. But I do have 20" Michelin non RFT tyres.

Hope it helps

So u just went to the dealer n told them u need the rear to be 2 cm lower n they did it no questions asked?
I wonder if this is something that can be done with a coding cable or only with a special tool.

Same...my understanding is that you need the links to lower the rear?

He said the dealer "programmed" it so I assume he has air suspension in the rear. And since technically the rear air suspension self levels then it should be doable with a computer to adjust the static height... But what tools to use.

Hi.

Yes I have air suspension at rear. No issue with dealer for doing that. I paid for programming. The front springs were installed at home. Asked for links at BaanVelgen and they answered I should go to my dealer.

The ride is great. Not to stiff and more stabile when cornering.

I also went with eibach and absolutely love the ride. Less body roll in comfort mode and even better in sport. I also have a set of H&R springs for vehicles equipped with rear adaptive suspension if anyone is interested.

which one of these options gives a less raked appearance? I have seen some h&r where the car looks super raked. I want a stance similar to the x5m...

The Eibach or AC Schnitzer will give you the same look as the X5M.
Do you have self-leveling rear suspension or not?

I do have the self leveling (50 with 3rd row) - do I need links or will the reprogram work?

You will need links for the rear.
The kit of the spring will comes with the links set.
Unfortunately though, Eibach USA didn't bring in the set for self-leveling suspension.
So your only option will be AC Schnitzer spring.

You can set the rake however you like it, since the rear links are adjustable and really just "trick" the vehicle into its ride height for the rear.
