Help!! - I have a Drivetrain warning after coding
Help!!
I VO coded my entire ECU...and I am now getting a drivetrain malfunction. I tried clearing all the DTS warnings using ESYS but the warning still presists. I would appreciate anyone's help on this. Thank you so much. |

This brings back memories when it was my first time coding and it was on my F15 as well.
I did the same exact thing and VO coded the entire ecu folder. Was your car running when this occurred? If it was that is your problem. It tried to recode your DME folder but couldn't access the CAFD file so its now missing. You can confirm this by clicking into the DME folder and you will notice that you don't have a CAFD file in there anymore like the rest of the folders. Good news is that you can fix this easily but bad news is that i can't remember the exact steps to get it back. Contact Shawnsheridan on this forum. He walked me through getting that file back on my X5 and everything is normal. Basically your car was coded back to the day it rolled off out of the dealer parking lot. Alan

That's exactly what I did. I found the following steps to bring back the CAFD file.
Connect => Read FA (VO) => Activate FA (VO) => Read SVT (VCM) => Left-Click on DME => Click on "Detect CAF for SWE" => Select the CAFD from latest I-Level shown => Select OK => Right-Click on DME (the ECU itself not the underlying CAFD) => Select CODE. But I cannot figure out how the read the SVT in VCM and I don't see an option to "Detect CAF for SWE" when I left click on DME. Thanks |

I would start here.
http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1033991 I know a few members have done what you experienced before, as Alan said, and somewhere in this thread, either Opasha or Shawn has walked them through the steps. |

Shawn rocks. He saved me that night as well. Nothing like sitting there watching your 70K BMW's dash light up like a Christmas tree while you realized that you just did something wrong.

Having this issue right now, and need it fixed ASAP, since I just started an account I cannot PM Shawn so if anyone could please help that would be amazing. I did not save an original SVT so I don't have a backup for it. Since I'm a dummy.
