Wrap the roof black?

Hi guys, has anyone attempted to wrap the roof black? My color is white and I think it might look good?

I can't find any pictures.

I plan on blacking out the roof, shark fin and rear spoiler in gloss black when I get my F85 come September.

Wheels will get the black treatment as well. IMHO the alpine white looks really good when given the "Panda" or "Storm Trooper" treatment.

If you are trying to achieve the Storm Trooper treatment or affect, then it should be less black like on trims only and smaller items and more white. If you black out larger parts of the car then its basically a soccer ball treatment lol

Has anyone else done this? I'm contemplating on doing this but can't decide whether I'm supposed to do the spoiler or not. Does it look weird since the sides of the spoiler drop well below the roofline?

Really not sure what to do lol

I agree with Chadmatic

There is a thread somewhere where Taran.J shows his that is blacked out with a side profile picture of his X5 and you can determine for yourself if it looks weird or not.

Thanks guys.
Yeah I just saw that Taran didnt do the spoiler at all and left it white.
IMO doesn't look complete. I'd like to see if anyone wrapped the spoiler too to see what that looks like.

I'm definitely now leaning more towards leaving it alone now.

IF you do it, the spoiler should also be black. Would look out of place otherwise.

The contrasting roof color looks great on a Mini but it just doesn't work on an X5. Sorry, but that is my opinion. BMW knew what they were doing when they decided which areas to paint black.

Looks hot af in person. The visual perception of the black roof give its a more leaner and not so tall look. Which I personally like. Wish it was a factory option like how RR's do it.

Maybe if you painted all of your pillars black like the RR, still not feeling it though... I don't generally think of the X5 as a tall vehicle that needs to be leaner or shorter.

The spoiler in black actually looks a lot better than I thought. I actually quite like it! Maybe I will do the roof lol
