Thanks! It'll look better once the gloss black M Performance grills and finals arrive!

Almost ordered the Alcantara steering wheel today. Not sure how it'll wear long term.

We had 41 cars in the convoy.

Everything from E36/46 M3's, E92's and so on. My favorite on the day was the M6 Grancoupe.

Is it possible that chrome bits could be growing on me? For some reason it looks proper to me on the black paint. I had an Alpine White M5 and absolutely hated the chrome on that paint shade.

I get what you mean. On my M50d, I hated the chrome. That car was BSM. With this one, Carbon Black, I actually quite like the chrome contrast on the front.

The only issue I have with the chrome however is it looks very 'stock'. Also, the chrome on the sides I don't really like though can't do them and not the front grille.

Still deciding where or not I should buy one locally (with a great discount from BMW) for about $1100 AUD, or order from IND for $1150 USD + Shipping ($1400AUD).

The only reason to buy from IND is because they have the option to modify the wheel with a red leather ring at the top instead of the blue ring which comes stock.

Just unsure whether or not the blue will clash with the very strong red interior in the car.

Yeah blue would clash, as my M3 is YMB it suits, but with the Mugello red interior go for the red....

Unless you can find a local trimmer to change it?

Finally managed to find the time to get the car detailed and protected inside and out with Gyeon Quartz.

I had the same coating applied to the inside and out of my M50d and I absolutely loved it.

Love the Mugello Red. It gets compliments all the time.

Thoughts on wrapping the car in a battleship grey?

I think it might work well with the Mugello along with black M Performance exterior parts and black wheels.

Which Gyeon Quartz product do you use for the inside and out coating?

Outside

Battleship grey is a sick color, if I were to wrap it would definitely be that color. I remembering seeing some f10 m5s getting that wrap when I had mine and it was tempting.

It will, and I'm very tempted, however I'm unsure about the wheels.

Don't really want to buy new wheels as I love the stock 612M's.

However to really complete the look I think it will need black wheels.

Not to fuel the fire, but you could have them powder coated or painted, here in the US that doesn't run too much, not sure about down under.

The 612s would look badass in a satin black finish.

The thing to keep in mind is that anything I do must be possible to return to stock due to BMW FC.

The wheels could still look good stock but it would mean the wrap would be better off a darker grey.

At the moment I'm looking into exhaust options. It's a painful and expensive excersise from Australia. Dinan followed by Eisenman are on my radar. Both the Dinan sport exhaust and Eisenman race exhaust cost the same here. I'm just not sure I could live with the permanently loud race exhaust. The Eisenman sport exhaust just pushes the budget for the exhaust too far.

Are you thinking about matte or gloss battleship grey? I must say that matte look terrible, but I like how this gloss look.

The OEM winter wheels are beauties. Going to be kind of sad to swap them out for the summers!

Don't know if you noticed but someone put the steering wheel on the wrong side!

Had better get that sorted out before you take delivery.

I was thinking of a matte finish actually - though I am definitely partial to 'Nardo' grey which is essentially what you have in that picture.

I really love the look of those wheels, and if they came in 21" or higher, i'd be hunting them down.

Got a lead on some killer ADV.1 5.0TS wheels in 22".

Going to check them out this weekend. Excited.
