Post your lease payment and terms!

Looking at transitioning out of my M5 lease later this year (or earlier if BMW has a pull ahead program) into a X5M. Currently I'm paying $1550 a month with tire and rim insurance for my 2014 M5. MSRP was $118k, 15k miles a year for 36 months. No money down except 1st payment and taxes.

I shopped for an M5 and X5M concurrently before deciding to pursue the X5M, and found that good deals (discount off sticker) were harder to come by on the X5M. I finally got a great deal, but had to go out of my state (NJ). Without factory incentives, the best discounts were 9-10% off sticker (and only a few dealers were entertaining that), and primarily off inventory cars. Residual is lower on the X5M than M5 (particularly this month where M5 is at 67% for 36/10).

$106,695 msrp
$98,033.95 selling price
In stock vehicle

12/36
$1500 down at signing
$1325.36/mo

Took me 3 days to get that. I had a trade as well so I know I might have been able to get another $1K without the trade. Numbers were right where I targeted to be so I signed it and took it as I felt it was a fair deal.

Good deal Trev. I would be happy with that deal, but my MSRP will be closer to $112k because I want full leather and B&O

I always just pay a $1000 over invoice with a broker that works out of Valencia BMW. Add the lease incentive and BMW loyalty and you get to $10K off.

I know OP asked for monthly payment, and that's fine, but it's the wrong measuring stick of a deal. IMO, evaluating a lease deal is no different than a purchase/finance - it's % discount off sticker. For a lease, the assumption here would be buy rate MF (otherwise, some dealers will offer a steeper discount but will then jack the MF up). The actual monthly depends on lots of other things such as the lease program that month, # of MSDs if any, cap cost reduction (folks shouldn't do this on leases, but some do), etc.

I know this. It's more helpful to see actual numbers, though.

Also, the discounted selling price doesn't show the true picture. The net cap cost is what you really are after being the payment is based off of that. It's a like a game. Everytime they reduce one number another goes up somewhere. Whack a mole until they are all low! lol

Yeah, but net cap cost can vary at the buyer's discretion as well - they can cap tax, fees, etc or elect to pay upfront.

Right that's what I'm saying. You really want to focus your final decision at the end of the negotiations on the net cap cost. It controls what you are paying and how you pay it.

I think we're talking past each other. My point was the *quality* of the deal is primarily the % discount off sticker, in the case of a lease, with buy rate MF. In terms of actual monthly payment, yes, cap cost is what matters but the amount you cap is up to you, the buyer, whereas the sale price is what you're negotiating down with the dealers.

Wow. Great deal. Did you have to negotiate hard?

So so...they wanted $2500 out of pocket and $1275 payment. I told them $1250 $0 out of pocket or I am leaving!
