trunk kick

so i have 20K mile on my car and 2 years of ownership and have been hearing our cars have kick trunk access.

car is in the shop so cant confirm. is this true

It's in the manual.

But I've never been able to get it to work. I think it's a practical joke by the writers of the owner's manual.

This worked 20% of the time on the F10, most times you just look like a fool.

Not available on the M only on standard variants of the X5.

thats what i thought and saw a post with someone with a M that said it worked. he was from Canada, maybe an option for their cars

I still don't think so in Canada. My understanding is it is not on the M becasue of the exhaust routing they could not fit the sensor.

From my reading of the manual, it was for the X6 only.

f15 or f85 don't have this option since the trunk has the lower door portion

I had this on my 2015 X6, it worked 99% of the time. I found that the leg/foot swipe (left to right/right to left) as more successful than the kick straight in/out.
I wish the X5 had this option, it's one of the ones I miss the most.

My UK registered 2017 MY as this, I agree works better sweeping your foot left to right than kicking inwards.

opens up every time when I am cleaning the Exhaust pipes with the key in my pocket
