Arrow Question on Sport + mode for X5 50i

I have a 2018 X5 50i, non M package. I can't seem to enable the Sport + function " disable traction control" on my vehicle. Is there a certain way on how to activate it or it this function only available on M sport models?

On non M Sport pack cars, you have to use a coding tool like BimmerCode or similar to enable it.

Ditto the reply above. In order to have the SPORT+ driving mode…it requires SAT (sport automatic transmission)…which comes with the M-sport pkg. Once you code for SAT, you can then do additional coding to activate the SPORT+ driving mode setting to appear in iDrive and the cluster etc.

You can see the SAT coding selection below from the Bimmercode.app website for the f15 X5:

So basically if you have the bimmercode app you can just easily upload it using an OBDII adapter and it will enable my vehicle to activate sport + mode?

How long does the process take?

I don't think its a simple coding procedure, I was never able to do it.

It is simple coding, but it is VO coding, I don't know if Bimmercode can do it but it is very easy via E-sys.

I can confirm I was able to do this with BimmerCode on my XLine pack car. Got Sport+ coded in the Body Control Module and Instrument Cluster and SAT activated through the transmission.

Mind sharing how I can do it with bimmercode? Was it through the advanced coding?

I don’t think the 10w-60 is a recommended viscosity for the n63tu engine…but you can see the recommended oil viscosities if you open the owners manual in iDrive and do a keyword search for OIL

See example below from my 2013 650ix GC which had the CIC iDrive…the embedded owners manual in iDrive is VIN specific…so the oil recommendations will be specific to your BMW:
