Violin ? You mean the "cuica" (Brazil - Bossa Nova friction drum) ?

Double entendre: try to keep a straight face during this technical explanation ("If I grab the stick a little more firmly, I can get a little crankier sound, a little lower pitch. And if I rub the stick and press in on the head, I'm getting harmonics and pitch changes. Depending on how you press the head and where your finger is and all these little details, you can get lots of vocabulary, lots of variety out of the cuica.")

"Cuica (Monkey Drum) What is it?":

The Dreamliner has those buttons under each window in order to darken/lighten the window in place of the shade. It can’t be a Dreamliner.

That's a valiant thought, but I've been stuck behind them for 8 or more miles before here in GA. The loaded, "slower" struck gets half passed by the lesser loaded "fast" truck going uphill, then the downhill starts and the weight carries the slower truck forward, now half passing the "fast" truck, rinse and repeat 3 exits and you finally get a chance to get around.

We drive back and forth between FL and NC a few times a year and see this a lot. We also notice another issue is trucks deciding to change lanes without notice even if someone is coming up faster to pass them. This causes that car to brake, which sometimes leads to a chain reaction of braking depending on traffic density. I'm sure they do it because cars will try to pass them if they signal, but if traffic is that heavy, maybe trucks stay in their lanes until it lightens sufficiently.

I have nothing against truckers and understand it can be a tough job, but many of them don't seem to care about how other drivers perceive them, so hard to be empathetic when it comes to their challenges in passing each other.

It's frustrating, that's for sure. But the actual impact in terms of actual time lost is negligible.

Using your example of being stuck for 8 whole miles in GA: Let's say you would be going 80mph for those 8 miles and instead you are stuck behind these two trucks who are going 55mph. If you were going 80mph, you'd cover that 8 miles in 6 minutes. While stuck behind the trucks, you cover the same distance in 8 minutes 43 seconds. That's less than 3 minutes out of your entire journey.

Frustrating? Absolutely. I'm just saying that personally, I have learned to roll with it instead of getting pi$$ed off. These trucks have a job to do and I choose to give them a break.
