So you have Bluetooth and a Wi-Fi version? Why you want both?
I actually had purchased both to see which one would have better or faster communication. I still have time to return the one I won't use but want to make sure that I did what I could prior to returning it
Ah. Well I'm interested if the BT version is solid cuz I would like the ability to access this app while coding and I can't do that when connected to the Wi-Fi Verizon. Usually gotta pull out my iPad and bring it with me for reference.

There is no pairing. It just "works" although I find being in airplane mode (with BT turned on) sometimes yields better results.

iOS runs on iPads also... If you want to use iPhone, buy WiFi.

Set it up for Bluetooth in the Bimmercode settings, plug the adapter in and give it a try. It uses the Bluetooth LE protocol which does not require pairing.

Ah ok. I will try that. Didn't realize as my Android phone made me pair it. Thanks for the help
I also read that the Bluetooth adapter is better and faster then the wifi one. Any truth to that?

So can anyone confirm whether the Bluetooth version works with iOS?

Just did it last night. BT LE 4.0 adapter works great with my iPhone. Don't have to pair at all. Simply go into BimmerCode settings and make sure you select the BT adapter and it works flawlessly
Thanks to owine for the help!

FWIW I have a WiFi adapter (older non-pro) which works just fine. Available to a good home, you pay shipping. PM me if interested.

Do you ever experience disconnection issues when coding? If I stay in a folder too long it will disconnect from Wi-Fi dongle and I have to reload everything. Drives me nuts. Especially in BDC as it already takes forever to load.

That's actual'y why I wanted the BT one to work as I've heard there are connectivity issues with the wifi version

Got it to work this morning!

Seems like on the newer cars you just need to code the 2 settings in KOMBI as the Headunit coding option is not there anymore!

The 2 settings in KOMBI alone work perfectly
Can confirm this as well. Thanks for finding this.

Related to signals, I've had 2 different software updates/changes at the dealership. Both times I've recoded. Recent software was for a trailer hitch.

This time I've seen to have lost the option to change number of turn signal blinks. Even under expert mode there isn't an option for BLINKZYKLEN_ANZAHL_TIPP.

Anyone else have this issue?

Probably due to new software. I never had this after getting new software when I first bought my '14 last year and had the idrive controller replaced under warranty.

Finally got ours coded with the Bimmercode app. iPhone, and used the Vgate2 WIFI. Had no errors, and didn't need Bimmerlink.

Found in another thread that there is a way to code blind spot warning to 15mph for better accuracy..

Do we know if this option can be done thru BimmerCode app?

Yep. It's on the cheat sheet and in Expert mode on the app.
