F15 50i throttle hesitation from a stop

Hey friends. 2016 50i all stock. 72k miles. Recently had coils and plugs replaced and injectors cleaned. After that, the car developed a frustrating trait that I'm trying to figure the cause.

From a dead stop when I press lightly on the accel pedal, the car will not respond immediately - but rather hesitate and then jerk forward before accelerating normally.

Any ideas? Thx.

mine does this sometimes when cold. I actually thought that the accelerator itself may be sticking? does this happen?

It is worse after a cold start and worse also if in comfort mode. Sport mode the issue isnt as acute. The pedal isnt sticking.

Ok. I wonder if I have an issue

I do notice after a cold start the idling will "hunt around" a bit after start before she smoothes out. Does yours do this?

Did it happen directly after the work you had done? Not a week or a month after I mean directly after…

If so, take it back and explain the issue.

If not, I’d looked at changing the fluid in the transfer case and resetting the adaptions for it. You can also trouble shoot the transfer case by unplugging. If you unplug it and the issue goes away then that’s your issue.

Most common causes of the issue you’re describing.

Sorry no my idle does not hunt around. Does a quick cold start idle above 1,000 rpm for a few seconds and settles down and stays constant. Good luck identifying your issue.

Well I can't be 100% certain as it could be an unrelated coincidence but it seems that way yes. If yes that would rule out the transfer case. I'm in contact with the shop and they did say that they did not reset adaptations so we will try that first. I'm out of town for a few weeks so will have to address in December.

Could be Neutral Idle Control which is on in Comfort mode. When stopped the tx is decoupled from the engine via a clutch.

If it is that then:
BMW is able to turn this off if you ask specifically for it (there is a SIB on this), or you can use xHP flashtool (standstill decoupling) as a paid aftermarket flash.
