Yes. Since i had to replace a wheel after hitting a massive chunk of metal on the highway the shop I used to powdercoat the wheels never were able to match the new wheel perfectly. In fact the color is way off and its bothering the hell out of me. Going to get them redone in brushed finished with either clear or tinted clear this time around. Should look sweet.

Well, the mounting of the Style 375s didn't happen. One of the lug nuts refused to come off, which stalled the entire process. Going to get that taken care of on Monday.
But I did get the spare wheel done! |

I had that happen on my brand new X5M on one wheel. All 5 lugs were on so tight even air tools couldn't get it off. I ended up taking it to a shop and they had to drill that lug out. Lucky they didn't damage anything.
Never figured out why it was like that for only one wheel. My car was freshly built from the factory and picked up by me right away. I didn't see a reason why the dealer would of had to removed the wheel. If its not the dealer then it was over tighten at the factory.

Most lugs were on there quite tight, but they were eventually able to remove them all. It's only ONE of them on the rear driver side that is refusing to budge, even with the highest powered air tools they have. I will have no other choice but having it be drilled out either, which is what they will do on Monday. I just don't like that I'll likely have to pay for this, even though it's not my fault. But such is life I suppose. |

Same on my case. Not even a long ass breaker bar with my body weight was able to budge the bolt. I eventually stripped the head hence the need to drill it out.

I see you left the carpet in place which was one of my questions about how the fitting would go. How about the securing bolt, that would normally screw into a threaded plate on the boot floor to hold the spare in place on a car that came with the spare from the factory. Did you use that, or are you happy everything is held snugly in place without it ? |
