Bavsound vs Bimmertech

Alright, I know this has been covered in outher posts and forums, but I've read just about all of them and still haven't really found what I'm looking for.

TLDR; what is going to be better bass response from a subwoofer upgrade BavAuto or Bimmer-Tech? And do I keep the HK amp or upgrade that also?

My X5 has the HK system. It sounds alright when parked, but add any amount of road noise and all low frequency disappears and mid range struggles. I added a 10" JL W3 in the spare tire location but I'm now getting older and seldom have my volume high and I don't really need that loud booming bass from a sub/amp combo in the back anymore. I want to get rid of the JL and free up that cargo space under the floor in the back.

I've been looking at the BavAuto sand Bimmer-Tech sub upgrades, but I'm the type of person I over research everything and when there are two close options I fight with myself on which is the better choice.

So what say you? BavSound? Bimmer-Tech? I need bass while on the highway at "normal, comfortable" volume levels.
